Design

Digital and interactive design works from across the industry spectrum. Built assets include microsites, HTML programmatic web banners, eDM designs and UI (AR/VR) interfaces.

MCB Site Visit VR Experience

UI and navigation design for the Melbourne Convention Bureau virtual site visit (2019) -  In partnership with SITU, a VR developer studio based in Melbourne, an interface and navigation system was created to guide virtual visitors through the experience with ease while also providing valuable non-intrusive information about venues and attractions in Melbourne and regional Victoria. Sample screenshots can be seen below.

The Melbourne Virtual Site Visit is an award-winning experience securing best VR/AR Experience at the Skift Awards 2019.

Discover Melbourne BE Campaign

Discover Melbourne BE (Business Events) mini campaign launched to the national interstate market in 2019. This was MCB’s first online marketing strategy that involved animated HTML banner assets.

Hero images were the focal point of the campaign and in order to make the ads noticeable amongst advertising spaces, all assets were spliced apart into objects and then animated into a slow moving parallax, creating dynamic movement and overlaid with a CTA.

MCB Bid Microsites

As a major part of MCB’s digitisation strategy, responsive microsites both specific (to the bid) and generic were created as an alternative method of delivery. At a national level, this separated MCB from rival bureau’s and entrenched MCB’s developing tech savvy reputation. Traditionally, offical bids were submitted in a PDF format, regularly landing in the 50-80 page mark. In order to create a more user friendly experience for the recipients (International Associations and decision makers), microsites and in some cases full bid sites were created, replacing the need, in most cases, for the PDF altogether. Pertinent bid information was now more easily accessible and efficient and was well received by the business events sector.

Commonwealth Bank (CBA) Personal Loans campaign

HTML animated programmatic web banners designed and built as part of a larger paid media advertising campaign promoting CBA’s personal loan products. Working within CBA’s extensive brand styleguide, multiple variations (examples below) using different hero images and core messaging resulting in several suites of html banners.

Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO)

Animated web banners designed and built targeting the Australian/New Zealand market promoting Japan as a first-class destination for business and corporate events.

The core visual mechanism of the JNTO brand was the ‘origami lens’ and there was no established precedent in regard to the animation direction of any brand assets. I proposed a ‘fold and reveal’ animation to tie in effectively into the origami brand mechanism and establish a standard for JNTO animated assets going forward.

AMP Variable Home Loan campaign

HTML animated programmatic web banners designed and built as part of a larger paid media advertising blast for AMP with customer acquisition the core focus. Five suites of banners each with their own core messages were created and had a staggered in-market release with each banner suite (one week turnaround).

eDM and e-newsletter design

Various eDM design and build campaigns for various clients across my professional career. These were built using variety of methods from using internal or proprietary CMS systems or 3rd party email builders such as Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor.

Generally, the designs and layout of these eDMs were reflective of the respective brands at the time they were published.
